Accommodation    Rodniky as a village was known since XVI century, it belonged to the princes Shuisky. The first mention about Rodniky appeared in monastery manuscript as a feudal estate of Souzdal Pokrov nunnery. In 18 century it was singled out as a trade village in Yurievetsky region, Kostroma’ s province. Textile trade was well developed there. Flax grown by local peasants was used a row material.
    In 1820 textile trade was passed into the hands of local entrepreneur peasants Krasilschikovy, which were united in the same year into one big textile production, known as “Rodniky the Center Rodniky region Ivanovo-Voznesensk province ”. Nationalized company of manufactures “A.M.Krasilschikova and sons”.
    At the beginning of the 20 century Rodniky became a big working center. The village was rather well organized, with a higher level of culture and literacy, political activity of workers.
    On the 13 of February 1918 the village of Rodniky was declared a town and a regional center. On 10 of May 1918 Yurievetski regional meeting of Soviets singled out Rodnikovsky region as an independent one including factory settlements and nearby villages. Since 1924 textile enterprise “Bolshevik” became widely known all over the country because of high labor productivity.
